South Molton. Purpose built with a range of high quality
equipment and resources.

51 weeks of the year, with flexible funding to support working
parents & 30 hours free childcare for 3 & 4 year
olds from September 2017

olds, Golden ticket - free funded places for 2gether funded 2
• for children aged from 3 months to 5 years, & holiday club for under 8's.

We are registered for Early Years Grant Funding - so you can combine free Pre-School Education sessions and day-care if you wish to return to work or training (please call us if you would like to know more about Early Years Grant Funding).
Have you received a Golden ticket -Free childcare: Parents can access 2gether funding for up to 15 hours per week for 2 year olds from the term after their 2nd birthday. alternatively this can be taken all year round as 11 hours per week.
NO REGISTRATION FEE'S - Since our first nursery opened in 2002 we have never charged registration fee's, if you would like T-shirts and Sweatshirts they can be ordered by our administrator. We do offer is good high quality care and education and you pay for what you get. We will never exaggerate our fees, but they will be a true reflection of the real cost of offering good quality care. We will never compromise on staffing ratio's or cut corners to deliver an economised service.
Expertise and Experience
Our Lead Professional 'Sharon' is a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management, and holds a Level 7 Early Years specific qualification. The team includes 'Erika' who has a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies, Abi and Jenny both hold NVQ level 4 and our Early Years Practitioners are trained to a minimum of level 3. In addition to their Early Years qualifications they undertake Paediatric First Aid, Basic Food Hygiene and Child Protection training as standard. Staff undertake Early Childhood and Toddler rating scales as part of our ongoing and continous improvement programme.
Here at Tarka Tots we pride ourselves on our continuous professional development and improvement. We were a pilot centre for the nationally rolled out 2gether programme and we have worked with East of the Water School as a learning hub. This is to develop excellence in Early Years Teaching, and Leadership. Our Quality Lead 'Jenny Chick' was also shortlisted for the 'NDNA Practitioner of the Year award'.
At least five permanent staff members have received their ten year service award, and we have an excellent reputation for staff retention. Staff also undertake specific training for specialist roles such as SENCO (Special Needs Co-ordinator), Safeguarding Officer, Health and Safety Officer, Fire Warden, and Catering Manager.
Delicious Food with a 5 Star Food Hygiene rating
Both of our nurseries have a 5 star food rating by Environmental Health. Our qualified Chef and Kitchen Manager Angela, will arrange for nutritious and appetising meals to be available when required including breakfast, lunch, snacks and tea. Angela has undertaken allergy training and is experienced in food preparation for children with specific dietary requirements.
