Quality Child Care for the Community
Tarka Tots is an exciting Neighbourhood Nursery within the Bideford Bay Childrens Centre in Bideford. Purpose built with a range of high quality equipment and resources, we are located alongside Victoria Park making it convenient for the town centre and shops.
Tarka Tots
• Provide full day-care from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks of the year for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
• We are registered for Early Years Grant Funding - so you can combine free Pre-School Education sessions and day-care if you wish to return to work or training (Please call us if you would like to know more about Early Years Grant Funding).
Choosing a nursery is a big decision, so we recommend you look around to compare the quality before you decide.
Your child’s first day is very important, so do arrange a ‘settle session’ with a member of staff. Our staff will work closely with you to ensure your child’s individual needs are met.

• The nursery offers modern, clean and exciting play spaces, with the benefit of well trained staff and a Graduate led Team - children coming here will be off to a great start.
• Children do well where there is mutual respect and trusting relationships, which is why our staff lead by example.
• Our qualified Chef will arrange for nutritious and appetising meals to be available when required including breakfast, lunch and tea.
• All snacks and drinks are provided free of charge.
• Our staff are all trained Early Years Practitioners, in addition to their Early Years qualifications they undertake Paediatric First Aid, Basic Food Hygiene and Child Protection training as standard - plus a minimum of four days training per year.
Tarka Tots is run by the same experienced management team as Southbank House Nursery, so you can be confident that your child will be well cared for.
